The PTE-A (Pearson Test of English – Academic) is a widely recognized English language proficiency test used by universities, employers, and other organizations to evaluate the language skills of non-native English speakers. It is administered by Pearson, a global education company.

The PTE-A consists of three sections: Speaking and Writing, Reading, and Listening. The Speaking and Writing section measure your ability to speak and write in English, the Reading section measures your ability to understand written English, and the Listening section measures your ability to understand spoken English. The total testing time for the PTE-A is about three hours.

The PTE-A is scored on a scale of 10 to 90 points, with each section receiving a separate score. The Speaking and Writing score is based on your performance in the Speaking and Writing section, the Reading score is based on your performance in the Reading section, and the Listening score is based on your performance in the Listening section. The overall PTE-A score is the average of the scores for each section.
